The Air Force Academy women have been invited to participate in this years CRC 7s tournament, at PPL Park in Philadelphia PA

THIS IS A BIG DEAL!  Only 8 women's teams nationwide are invited.  To hold up our end of the bargain, we need to sell 75 2-day tickets to the event.

Spring Schedule is out!

Here's what we have booked for the spring schedule:  We will be looking to add another 7s event in April in preparation for ACRA 7s.

April 1 - AFA vs CSU at Colorado College.  6:30 PM kickoff

April 6 - AFA vs Colorado College at Air Force Academy 11:00 AM kickoff

April 12 - Collegiate 7s Round Robin at Air Force Academy - all day.  Participating teams:  School of Mines, CU, Western State, Colorado College, Utah Valley, and AFA

April 3-4 ACRA 7 Championship Grand Valley MI

May 31-April 1 CRC 7s Philadelphia PA

High Desert Classic Results

The AFA Women's Rugby Team traveled to Albuquerque NM to compete in the High Desert Classic Oct 19-20.  This was the teams first time back on the pitch following the government shutdown, and the team approached the event with great enthusiasm.


Saturday's results

AFA v UNM   0-0
AFA v Atomic Sisters 5-12
AFA v Tuscon Lightning 33-0

Sunday's results

AFA v Tuscon Lightning 21-5.

Total record: 2-1-1

Next up, league match against UNM in Albuquerque, Sunday Oct 27th, at Johnsons Field.

AFA drops pre-season friendly to Quinnipiac 36-14

Quinnipiac, one of the nations few NCAA Varsity Women's Rugby programs, traveled to AFA from Connecticut for a pre-season friendly on Sept 7, 2013.  The Zoomies were unable to contain Quinnipiacs outside attack, surrendering 6 tries and scoring 2.

Next up for Air Force is another pre-season friendly against the women's club team Black Ice on Sept 28th, at the AFA, at 11:00 am.  The team will play both A & B games, ensuring all players have a opportunity to compete prior to the beginning of league play.

USA WNT and Serevi Clinic August 10th at Infinity Park

Let's see if we can get a group for both the clinic and for the Nations Cups games - what a great chance to see to USA Women's National Team in action!

Hey all,

A bit of promotion here for the teams in our area.  The USA Nations Cup 3rd place and final games are coming up in Glendale here on August 10th.  I will be running a Serevi skills clinic before the games and would love it if we could get a good showing of PMRC girls at the camp.  Its two hours long and the girls get admission to the game along with the clinic fee.  We would like to get a good showing for the games in Glendale and we are lucky to be playing games on our own turf.  Please take a look and pass this on to any of your girls that live in the area or just really love USA Rugby and will be attending the matches.  Its a good little clinic to kick off the fall season.  If anyone has issues with the camp fee please let me know and we can talk to Serevi about it.  I would look forward to seeing girls I know and would love to work on helping our conference become a power house step by step.
